MRC Induction Programme 2011

Last Wednesday, 5th January 2011, MRC Talhah had undergone an Induction Programme at IIUM mosque, Kulliyyah of Medicine. It was our second meeting together. The first one was back in December 2010, when we gathered for the first time with Ustaz Ali, the Principal of Mahallah Talhah.


The induction was a modest programme, but the important thing was its objective, not the venue, said the President, Bro Ahmad Saifuddin Othman. An induction is meant to kick-start the new tenure with taaruf among its committee members, and it is hoped that the programme has achieved the said objective, insya-Allah.

Apart from a more formal taaruf session among the committee members, other agendas include discussing activities and programmes for IIUM Mahallah Talhah residents or the whole IIUM Kuantan campus residents, within each bureau and presenting them in front of other members.

For your information, MRC has 6 bureaus;
1. Training & Development
2. Sports & Recreation
3. Islamic Care
4. Information & Public Relations
5. Welfare
6. Entrepreneur
7. Community Service

In addition, we also discussed a recent theft problem which unfortunately happened at T8 & T9 (or better known as IM2), brothers' mahallahs outside our campus, and also the problem they had regarding the expensive food at Cafe Abang D. (The details of both issues will be covered in a separate post after this, insya-allah.)

In conclusion, residents of IIUM Kuantan campus will be having a great semester full of interesting activities and programmes organized by MRC Talhah, Insya-Allah...may Allah ease our way, ameen.
