Training and development bureau of MRC talhah has taken the initiative to organize an Islamic calligraphy (Khat) class for the students of IIUM Kuantan Campus, particularly for the residents of Mahallah Talhah. This program is in parallel with the mission and vision of TnD bureau that is to produce graduates and generations who are well versed in many aspects especially concerning skills and human resources, in answering the call of one of IIUM’s mission and vision which is to nurture the quality of holistic excellence which is imbued with Islamic moral-spiritual values, in the process of learning, teaching, research, consultancy, publication, administration and student life.
In connection with that, on the 26th of January 2011, TnD bureau had started the Islamic calligraphy (khat) class for semester 2011/2012 at Kulliyah of medicine. The instructor was a 2nd year Biomedical Student student from Kulliyah of Science, brother Azri Hilmi Mansor.
Based on surveys done by the Welfare Bureau, a memorandum was written and submitted to the Campus Director of IIUM Kuantan, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Kamaruzaman Wan Su during Talhah's Appreciation Night on the 9th of March 2011.
Intellectual Visit 2011 is a program specialized for new line-up Mahallah Talhah Representative Committee 2010/2011 (MTRC) with the theme “Rebranding Muslim Youth, Invigorating the Spirit of Islamic Leadership”. This program was drafted and made as an induction programs for MTRC new line-up to expose them about how to facilitate local community in educational affairs and at the same time exchanging one another perspectives. Furthermore, it also can contribute to the emerging of new refreshing idea in how to conduct a program by sharing ideas with other college in other university.
On 14th March 2011 at Main Auditorium, Kulliyyah of Science, IIUM Kuantan Campus, MRC Talhah under Training and Development Bureau (TnD), in collaboration with Wawasan Club had organised an Intellectual Discourse (2) entitled “General Election 13: 1 Vote 1 Obligation. Students, what’s your call?”. The objectives were to expose the students and staff about the obligatory to elect the best leaders among society, to express Islamic views towards democracy, to know the principle of election matters according to Islam and to inculcate awareness among IIUM students and other IPTA/IPTS the reality of Muslim world which decline in every aspect and stress on their role to revive the glory of Islam.
On the 5th of March, 2011, MRC Talhah with collaboration from MRC Maimunah organized an event known as “Cuci-Cuci Café” to restore the cleanliness of the café at CF Mahallah Talhah. Participants of the event cleaned the tables and chairs, swept and mopped the floor of the cafe. In addition to that, the musolla was cleaned and the rooms on the second floor were refurbished. Through this event, the participants learned the importance of cleanliness and developed a sense of responsibility towards the cleanliness of the café.
On the 5th of March 2011, a Multimedia Workshop was jointly organized by IIUM Pharmacy Students' Society (IPhA), Information & Public Relations Bureau MRC Talhah (IPR, MTRC) and Social & Training Bureau, Volunteer Team (VT).
